I had a lot of fun with Max. Great player and person. He will be missed. A very sad Mike Barone here.
One of the greats, not just in music, but a wonderful person, always looking after others. I will miss him.
When I first came to LA to try to get into studio work, I was told that the musicians guarded their work sources very jealously. Not long after I met Max, he recommended me to several contractors that he worked for. That was a big door-opener for me. Very unusual and much appreciated! Thanks again, Max! RIP
I had been thinking about Max strongly on the 14th. So strange. Every time I met him and his beautiful wife Teri I felt uplifted. His stories, his music, his zest for life were all blessings. He was soooo warm and creative and friendly to all. What a great man he is. I will miss seeing him. I’m so sad I didn’t see him again recently. All my blessings to family and friends!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘🙋🏻
What a beautiful guy and a legend. Max was kind enough to invite me to his home for an interview in Dec 2017. A real honor to speak with him. You couldn't have asked for a more gracious host. A moment I will cherish forever. Long may you run Max.
‘‘Twas an honor and privilege Max!
With Appreciation and Respect
Thanks for all the great music and your friendship!
RIP Max Bennett
I'm saddened beyond, to hear of Max's passing. One of the sweetest men I've had the blessing of knowing. His talent was incredible, playing every chance he got. His resume reads like a who's who in the biz; being a member of the Wrecking Crew and playing with icons Sinatra, Presley, Monroe, Mitchell, Zappa and so many more...the largest movie studios, too. Then there were thousands of hours playing as a studio musician & live performer. We were lucky to have him here, as our local neighbor, playing in Laguna Beach.
Max is a true legend & the kindest man you'd ever meet. Ill miss him immensely and remember him fondly.
Rest easy, Max. My condolences to Teri, his family and extended musical family. 💔
Max, you will be missed very much. Thanks for the great inspiration and many, many hours of great music. I enjoyed our conversations over the years and your positive approach to music and life will always be valued. Take care on your new journey and I'll see you on the flipside!
Max, they did not break the mold when they made you. You were a free hand one of a kind. I have always been a fan of your playing and humanity. One of the cats I always looked to for inspiration. I will miss you but man, what a legacy you have left us with. Your groove will be treasured for many years to come. Always in our hearts. Loved you my brother and feel I am a better man and musician for having known you. Lee
Thank you for being such a wonderful gentleman, a great hang on sessions, and introducing me to Ornella 180s at Witners... RIP...
